Week 1 in New York- 1 month

Hey Everyone!!!

I can't believe I'm in New York!! This is sooo crazy! The only familiar place is Walmart! Haha!! This week has been A LOT different than the MTC! I miss my 8 MTC sisters so bad!
Honestly this week has been a little overwhelming but i'm hanging in there!

First off, I can only email for about an hour on p-days now! So if I don't email you back just know that I love you and am grateful for all our of your sweet emails, updates on life, and pictures! Really means a lot! And I read them ALL!

I'm actually in a Trio! My trainer is Sister. Heelis and Sister. Stoddard! They are great Missionaries! They have taught me a lot so far. I've been called to serve in Buffalo, New York this transfer! As a full time proselyting missionary! Only one other sister got called full proselyting out of the 8! The rest are Full-Time Visitor Center or half and half! I'm about an hour + from the sites. It's so weird because in Buffalo we are only allowed to proselyte inside and around college campuses! So everyday we can only talk to kids around my same age! It's a lot different than what I expected but pretty cool! I'm also serving in a Young Single Adults Ward! And It's weird cause when I went to church yesterday there were no girls or sisters in my ward! There are only elders and boys that come to church! It's a lot different. And a little weird. Haha But I'm so grateful that I was able to partake of the sacrament because it was so peaceful and really really was the best part of my week! I'm sorry I don't have much time left! But I'm so grateful to be a missionary and thanks again for all the prayers and sweet words!!

Week 3/4 in MTC

Hey Family and Friends!! I can't believe I leave to New York!! We started Visitors Center Training so we got a new schedule! We leave Tuesday so my next group email wont be until the following Monday! AND I WILL BE EMAILING IN NEW YORK!! AHH SO EXCITED!!

HIGHS:
- We are going to temple square tomorrow for a practice training! SO EXCITED
- We have 5 new teachers for Visitors center training and they are soo cute and awesome!!
- Met 4 Elders randomly in the elevator that are going to SALTA, Argentina!!! (Josh's Mission) And JP could be one of their trainers! So cool!
- I found out LESS than 2% of missionaries are called to Visitor Centers! And it's cool to think i'm apart of that 2%!!
- Shout out to grandma for sending my district Olive Garden!! We all died when we opened up that package!!
- We had an AMAZING devotional on Tuesday!! Brother. Schwitzer (FROM THE 70)
- My district of 8 is singing AS SISTERS IN ZION MEDLEY on Sunday before we leave! Feeling a little nervous but excited as well!

LOWS:
- We got new companions this week for visitors center training and I'm missing Sister. Hunt SOOOOO MUCH!
-Missing our old teachers!!
- I still can't handle the repetitive food!!
- Hard core missing Durangos!!!


EXPERIENCE:
So this week we have been learning a lot about Visitor Centers and we did a practice MTC tour with a non-member and it was really awesome!! The spirit was so strong and because of that I could feel the spirit telling me exactly what to say to her! It was so strong and clear! And I'm so grateful that we can have the Holy Ghost as our constant companion!!

Week 2 in MTC

WOW! I cant believe I've been in the MTC for about 2 weeks already! This week went by SOOOO fast! I cant believe I only have 2 weeks left! So this week was a little harder!! But definitely a good kind of hard!
We memorized the First Vision, learned the correct way to plan and teach lessons, and learned how to invite others to baptism!! We didn't have a lesson on Saturday because our whole district was overwhelmed and crying the whole class because it has been a very stressful week! Haha with 8 sisters together 24/7 sometimes things can get a little emotional and crazy! Haha But we have all been doing a lot better since then!! We have really great teachers who have been very helpful! And these sweet sisters in my district are literally the best!! It has been such a blessing having each other's love and support and encouraging words!! If you know me well enough then you know that I love to play tricks on people and joke with them! Well this week was full of those "tricks!" Its been so much fun to make my cute sisters laugh so hard and this might be TMI... But i accidentally made one of the sisters in my district pee her pants because she was laughing so hard at my tricks. Hahah it was the funniest thing of my life!
We also got to attend the temple this week and it was absolutely amazing!! I always feel the spirit so strong and it's a wonderful place to be! I'm so happy that we get to attend the temple every week in the MTC. We also got to teach investigators every day last week and it's pretty scary honestly but the spirit is so strong and I love teaching them about the gospel and sharing my testimony with others! My companion is amazing and we have continued to work so well together! There have been many special times this week that I can feel my Savior's love and I know that this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing! Overall Its been pretty hard so far but its also been one of the best times of my life! And I love being a representative of Jesus Christ!

First week in the MTC

AHH HEY EVERYONE!! JUST LETTING YOU KNOW ​​IM ALIVE AND DOING SO WELL!

I cant believe that i have almost been in the MTC for a week!! Time has gone by sooo fast!! Its been super crazy and busy! Also my p-days in the MTC are on Tuesdays! GUYS... oh my gosh I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE 8 SISTERS IN MY DISTRICT! They are so cute and its crazy how close we have all gotten in the past week! We are all going to the HILL Cumorah Visitors Center the same day! And im so pumped! There is the cutest teacher here at the MTC that just got back from our mission and she literally makes it sound like the best place on earth and gets so excited for us! And just freaks out with excitement and stories every time she sees us! haha Shes the cutest thing ever!! And after talking to her we are all so excited to actually get out into the mission field! Even though we have only been here at the MTC for less then a week! Haha! Okay let me just say that my companion is the best ever!! we get along and work together SO WELL!! She is amazing! And I love her! She laughs so hard at like EVERY SINGLE THING i say hahah its so funny! 🤣 And I've had so much fun getting to know all these cute sisters! Anyways she is the best and I love her so much!!

Being here for Conference was such a special experience I absolutely loved it. At the end when they announced that they were getting a temple in Salta Argentina i literally jumped out of my chair and screamed to all my sisters that Salta is where josh is serving!! I seriously was so happy! Honestly guys I cant even begin to tell you how strong the spirit is here in everything we do! Its absolutely amazing! We taught out first real investigators yesterday and one of our investigators name is Anna and she is from Russia. And as we tried to plan out what to teach her we felt inspired to just follow the spirit and not plan a specific lesson. It was so weird because usually i freak out about not having a specific topic or plan to teach our investigators with because I feel like I have to write every thing down and plan it all out or else i wony know what to say during the lesson. But when we were trying to plan the lesson out for her the spirit was very strong in telling me and my comp to just communicate and talk more in our companionship and not write any specific lesson down. Hopefully that all makes sense !!! Haha So as we started the lesson and talked to Anna and got to know her she had a lot of hard questions that she asked us and my companion is very good at coming up with answers quickly and as we were trying to answer her questions she had a really hard time understanding how Joseph Smith translated the Book Of Mormon and she kept telling us that she thinks that he just wrote the book himself and made it all up and that it wasn't from God! And it was getting hard for my companion to not get overwhelmed because usually she kinda talks most of the time cause she's just really fast! But in that moment i suddenly felt prompted by the spirit to talk about my experience with praying to know if the Book Of Mormon was true and asking God if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. And as i explained my experience with having similar questions to hers when i was younger and praying and asking god if all of this was true. And that i did get an answer and i testified to her that i know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph in the Sacred Grove and that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. And as I bore my testimony to her i also invited her to read the book of Mormon and ask god to know for her self that it is true. And after that the spirit in the room was the strongest that i have ever felt in my entire life. I know that the gift of tongues is real not only with speaking a different language but with having the spirit guide you with what to say. She then told us that she wants to pray about it and accepted the invitation. It was the coolest experience of my life and i already have so much love for her and my other investigators. GUYS i know with all my heart that this is where I'm supposed to be. I'm so grateful to be able to serve my Heavenly Father and do this great work to bring others unto him. This has been such an incredible week i have learned so much and want to continue to learn as much as i can! I also want to sincerely thank everyone that is praying for me. I can feel your love and I'm so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life! THIS CHURCH IS TRUE!!! And I'm so grateful for my decision to serve the lord for these 18 months!!
